In the beginning of the 2000s it was still exceptional for a cruise ship to chart its course towards Russia and St. Petersburg instead of Tallinn, Sweden or Germany. Tourists, businessmen, students and entrepeneurs travelling east got on the train in Pasila, Lahti or Kouvola and headed down the tracks through Vyborg to the Finland station in St. Petersburg. |
