Update: The Posti strike will expand on Monday 25.11. from 00:00 onwards to consist now also clerical and store duties throughout the country, and continuing until 22:00 on December 22, 2019.
The negotiating parties Pau and Palta did not end up to an agreement and the Posti strike will begin on Monday 11.11.2019 at 6 am.
The strike will influence on visa document deliveries.
Visa documents on the way to our office:
Kindly notice, that due to the possible strike some deliveries may not reach our office on time and will thus delay the visa process. Also, the mail delivery centers may become congested after the strike which will cause long delays in delivery. We strongly recommend you to place a SoloVisa online visa order and choose Matkahuolto as delivery option. The system will show you the nearest Matkahuolto office where you can take the visa documents. Show the activation code from the order confirmation (that you have printed out) to Matkahuolto agent. Activation code is needed to address your delivery to Lähialuematkat.
Ready visa deliveries:
During the strike you can pick the ready visa from our Helsinki offices, use courier service or Matkahuolto transport. Matkahuolto will send you message when your visa is ready for pick up from your nearest Matkahuolto pick up point. DHL courier will cost 60 euro in Finland and the document will be delivered during the following weekday.
We will contact all customers, whose delivery option for the ready visa is postal during the strike.
