The Embassy of India has announced that it will require visa applicants to provide biometric data, a fingerprint scans and a digital photo, as part of the visa application process. This will require a personal visit to the Embassy. The biometrics will be in force for 5 years.
The Embassy said that it will accept the traditional applications (without biometrics) until further notice. We will recommend you to place your visa order to Lähialuematkat or SoloVisa latest on 20.10.2016 in case you need your visa to India shortly.
Kindly notice that you will be able to continue placing traditional or SoloVisa orders as usual after leaving the biometrics for the following 5 years.
